Educational and Medical Disclaimer
The Platforms provide educational content for examination preparation and professional development only. Nothing on the Platforms is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nothing on the Platforms establishes a provider-patient relationship. By using the Platforms, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this disclaimer, which is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Not Medical Advice
1.1 All lessons, practice questions, case studies, unfolding cases, calculators, flashcards, images, rationales, cheat sheets, simulations, and other content on the Platforms are simplified teaching materials designed for educational purposes only.
1.2 Platform content must never be used to diagnose, treat, manage, or make clinical decisions about a real patient. Clinical decisions must always be based on: (i) the complete clinical situation; (ii) current institutional policies, protocols, and formularies; (iii) orders from licensed providers with prescriptive authority; (iv) current published clinical practice guidelines from recognized bodies; and (v) the independent professional judgment of qualified, licensed professionals.
1.3 No interaction with any feature of the Platforms, including the AI Tutor, creates a provider-patient, nurse-patient, therapist-patient, or any other clinical relationship between you and MyoMed Prep LLC, its owner, its contributors, its instructors, or any person associated with the Platforms.
2. Emergencies
2.1 Never use the Platforms in a medical emergency.
2.2 If you or someone else may be experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the United States) or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
2.3 If you or someone you know is in a mental health crisis, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the United States), the Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741), or your local crisis service.
2.4 Do not delay seeking emergency care because of anything you have read, heard, or seen on the Platforms.
3. No Real Patient Information (PHI)
3.1 The Platforms are learning environments. Do not enter, upload, or share real patient information or any protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA, anywhere on the Platforms, including in practice notes, SOAP-note tools, discussion fields, AI Tutor conversations, account details, or any other input.
3.2 All charting tools, SOAP-note builders, simulated electronic health records, and similar features are for fictional, simulated clients only.
3.3 Entering real patient information into the Platforms may violate HIPAA, your institution’s policies, and your professional obligations. MyoMed Prep LLC accepts no responsibility for any consequences arising from a user’s submission of real patient information.
4. Educational Calculators and Simulated Tools
4.1 Interactive tools on the Platforms (including dosage calculators, ABG interpreters, EKG helpers, fluid and electrolyte calculators, simulated electronic health records, and similar features) are teaching aids only.
4.2 These tools are not validated clinical devices. They are not cleared, approved, or certified by the FDA, any state health department, or any regulatory body. They are not a substitute for institutional clinical systems, pharmacy verification, dual-provider checks, or any other clinical safety mechanism.
4.3 These tools must not be used in the care of real patients under any circumstances. Any clinical calculation or decision must be verified through your institution’s approved systems and confirmed by a licensed practitioner with prescriptive or ordering authority.
5. The AI Tutor (Synapsis AI)
5.1 The AI Tutor is generated by an artificial-intelligence language model. It is a study aid, not a reference. It can be confidently wrong.
5.2 The AI Tutor may: (i) state something inaccurate; (ii) cite a source that does not support the claim; (iii) give an answer that was correct for an older guideline but is no longer current; (iv) omit critical safety information such as contraindications, black-box warnings, or dosing limits; or (v) present a plausible but fabricated explanation.
5.3 Treat every clinical statement the AI Tutor makes as a prompt to verify against your primary sources, your course materials, and your institution’s policies. Never treat it as a settled answer, and never use it as a basis for care of a real patient.
5.4 Where the tutor names a medication, dose, rate, concentration, or route of administration, verify it against a current pharmacology reference, your institution’s formulary, or your pharmacist before relying on it for any purpose.
5.5 Faculty, preceptors, and clinical instructors, not this tool, are the authority on your coursework and your practice.
5.6 The AI Tutor’s safety behavior is measured against a fixed prompt set and published on the technical page. That measurement is a regression gate, not a clinical-safety certification.
5.7 MyoMed Prep LLC, its owner, and its contributors disclaim all liability for any harm, injury, adverse outcome, academic consequence, or professional consequence arising from reliance on AI Tutor output.
6. Content Accuracy and Currency
6.1 We build content from reputable, evidence-based sources, including published national guidelines (for example, AHA, ACS, AWHONN, AACN, ANA, ASRT, NCSBN test plans, NAEMSP, PHTLS), government health agencies (for example, CDC, FDA, NIH, OSHA), professional organizations, and peer-reviewed literature. We cite those sources throughout so learners can verify the material.
6.2 Medicine, nursing, emergency medical services, radiologic technology, and allied health change rapidly. Errors are possible despite our review process. Content may become outdated between review cycles. Reference ranges, drug information, protocols, and scope-of-practice rules vary by institution, region, state, and publication date.
6.3 Always verify content against current primary sources and your institution’s policies before relying on it for any clinical, academic, or professional purpose. If you find an error, report it using the process in Section 11.
7. No Affiliation with Testing or Licensing Bodies
7.1 NCLEX and NCLEX-RN are registered trademarks of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN). ARRT is a registered trademark of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. NREMT is a registered trademark of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. All other examination, certification, and organization names, including ANCC, AANP, AACN, PNCB, NCC, NBCRNA, and AMCB, are the property of their respective owners.
7.2 MyoMed Prep and its Platforms are independent educational products. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any of these organizations, any state board of nursing, any state EMS authority, or any testing or certification body.
7.3 Use of these names is solely for identification of the relevant examinations and is nominative fair use. All practice items on the Platforms are original works; they are not actual examination questions and must not be represented as such.
7.4 MyoMed Prep, NexGen Mastery, RadMatrix, Rescue, Foundations, and Synapsis AI are trademarks or service marks of MyoMed Prep LLC.
8. No Guarantee of Results
8.1 Examination outcomes depend on many factors, including but not limited to study habits, prior education, clinical experience, test-taking ability, personal circumstances, and the content and format of the actual examination.
8.2 MyoMed Prep does not guarantee that use of the Platforms will result in passing any examination, obtaining licensure or certification, achieving any particular score, gaining admission to any program, or obtaining any other academic or professional outcome.
8.3 We do not publish pass-rate claims or testimonials. Learner outcome data, where published, follows the methodology described on the outcomes page and is published only when enough learners qualify to make the data meaningful. Methods and status details are on the technical page.
9. Scope of Practice
9.1 Content describes general United States practice standards unless stated otherwise.
9.2 Your lawful scope of practice is defined by your professional license, your state’s nurse practice act (or equivalent law for your discipline), your state’s EMS scope-of-practice regulations, your institution’s policies, and your supervising provider’s orders, not by anything on the Platforms.
9.3 If content on the Platforms appears to conflict with your institution’s policies or your state’s practice act, follow your institution and your state, not the Platforms.
10. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
10.1 You use the Platforms and all content at your own risk. The Platforms and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. See the Terms of Service, Section 7 (Disclaimers of Warranty) and Section 8 (Limitation of Liability), which are incorporated here.
10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyoMed Prep LLC, its sole member, its contributors, its instructors, and its agents shall not be liable for any clinical outcome, patient harm, adverse event, misdiagnosis, medication error, academic consequence, licensure consequence, employment consequence, or any other loss or damage arising from or related to: (i) use of or reliance on Platform content; (ii) use of or reliance on AI Tutor output; (iii) use of educational calculators or simulated tools for any clinical purpose; or (iv) any user’s failure to verify content against current primary sources and institutional policies.
10.3 This disclaimer does not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct to the extent such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
11. Reporting Errors
If you find a clinical inaccuracy, outdated guideline, incorrect drug information, or scoring problem, report it to questions@myomedprep.org. Include: (i) the platform (NexGen Mastery, RadMatrix, Rescue, Foundations, or company website); (ii) the item or lesson ID; and (iii) a citation if you have one. Evidence-backed reports receive priority review.
12. Severability
If any provision of this disclaimer is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
