About the Owner & Developer
MyoMed Prep LLC is owned, written, and built by one practicing clinician. This page exists so that anyone evaluating the curriculum can see exactly whose judgment stands behind it.
The short version
I own, write, and build MyoMed Prep as a founder-led authored library, without licensing a vendor's content. The curriculum, question logic, imaging library structure, and companion volumes were developed in house so each claim can be traced to a source. The evidence standard explains how sources are selected and cited.
My work in nursing has been divided, deliberately, across three lanes.
- Education. Developing nursing curricula and reference systems — pharmacology compendia, specialty study systems, maternal–child and psychiatric–mental health teaching packets, medication calculation instruction, and clinical reference guides for practicing providers.
- Policy. I also publish an independent, nonpartisan health and nursing policy newsletter distributed to congressional offices and national nursing organizations. Policy work is where one learns what actually drives scope of practice, staffing, reimbursement, and safety standards — and why nurses need to understand all four.
- Practice. Everything above is written by someone who still works in clinical care, rather than by someone who left it.
MyoMed Prep is where the education lane lives. It is the answer to a question I kept asking as a student: why is the material this poor, and what would it look like if someone built it properly?
How we built the platforms
A modernized, evidence-based nursing dashboard — and the imaging platform beside it. NexGen Mastery was developed end to end in house: curriculum mapping first, then content, then code.
Blueprint before content
We mapped the curriculum against the current licensure test plan and the professional competency frameworks it draws on, so that coverage is provable rather than assumed. Nothing was written until we knew what it had to satisfy.
Lessons written to sources
Each lesson was drafted against current professional guidance and primary literature, with references carried into the lesson itself rather than stripped out of it.
Question banks built to the modern item types
Items were authored in the formats candidates actually face — case studies, matrix and grid items, bow-tie, trend, extended multiple response, drop-down cloze, and highlighting — with rationales written for every option, correct and incorrect.
Coded, not templated
The dashboard, progress tracking, question engine, and lesson delivery were developed directly rather than assembled from an off-the-shelf course template. That is what allows the platform to follow the clinical judgment model instead of forcing it into a quiz plugin.
Synapsis AI — the MyoMed coach
The platform includes Synapsis AI for on-demand explanation and Socratic questioning, scoped to the curriculum so that it teaches reasoning rather than handing over answers. It is a MyoMed Prep product, not a separate company. It is a private on-site tutor and soft-fails locally if the coach is unavailable — practice, cases, and flashcards still work.
Companion volumes
Selected curricula ship with downloadable PDF companion volumes and a cheatsheet library, because clinical reference belongs in a pocket as often as on a screen. See the companion volume library.
RadMatrix was built on the same spine — blueprint, sourced content, authored items, custom code — but for radiological imaging and interpretation, with its own companion volume, RadMatrix: Interpreting Radiological Imaging Studies, intended for use alongside the site.
The two platforms are separate products that speak the same language. A nurse studying acute abdominal presentations in NexGen Mastery and the corresponding imaging in RadMatrix is working from the same reasoning model in both places.
