Pledge of Academic & Clinical Excellence

MyoMed Prep LLC · myomedprep.org. Applies to MyoMed-NexGen (Nursing), RadMatrix (Radiologic Technology and Imaging Interpretation), Rescue (Emergency Medical Services), and Foundations (Pre-Requisite Sciences and Math). Document date: 26 October 2026. Download the PDF.

1. Welcome and Purpose

1.1 Why This Pledge Exists. Every question you answer, every explanation you study, and every image you learn to read on MyoMed Prep is preparation for a moment that matters: a patient who needs you to be right, a family who needs you to be kind, and a team that needs you to be ready. This Pledge of Academic & Clinical Excellence (the “PAC” or “Pledge”) describes the kind of learner, colleague, and caregiver we hope every member of the MyoMed Prep community will strive to become.

1.2 Our Shared Mission. MyoMed Prep was built by licensed clinicians and educators on a simple belief: academic mastery and bedside compassion are not separate goals. Knowing the science is how we keep patients safe. Caring for the person is how we honor them. This Pledge asks you to pursue both, every day, for the benefit of the patients, families, and communities you will serve.

1.3 Who This Pledge Is For. This Pledge is offered to every student, learner, and subscriber of MyoMed Prep (each, a “Student”), whether you are preparing for a nursing, radiologic technology, imaging, or emergency medical services examination, building your foundational science and math knowledge, or continuing to grow as a practicing clinician.

2. The Nature of This Pledge

2.1 A Commitment of Character, Not a Contract. This Pledge is an aspirational, voluntary statement of values and professional intentions. It is not a legally binding contract. It does not create legal rights or obligations for you or for MyoMed Prep, and no one may bring a legal claim based on it.

2.2 Your Platform Terms Still Govern. Your use of MyoMed Prep is governed by our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Academic Integrity Policy, Copyright and DMCA Policy, Educational and Medical Disclaimer, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and any other policies posted on myomedprep.org (together, the “Platform Policies”). This Pledge does not change, add to, replace, or limit any of the Platform Policies. If anything in this Pledge appears to differ from a Platform Policy, the Platform Policy controls. Conduct that violates a Platform Policy remains subject to that policy whether or not you have taken this Pledge.

2.3 No Guarantee of Outcomes. Taking this Pledge, and using MyoMed Prep, does not guarantee that you will pass any examination, obtain or keep any license or certification, or achieve any particular clinical or employment result. Your success depends on your own effort, your education program, your clinical training, and the requirements of the licensing and certifying bodies in your field.

2.4 Voluntary Participation. Affirming this Pledge is optional and is not a condition of purchasing, accessing, or using any MyoMed Prep subscription or product. We invite you to take it because we believe in who you are becoming.

3. Commitment to Academic Excellence

3.1 Study with Purpose. I will approach my studies as the foundation upon which patient lives depend. I will seek to understand the reasons behind every correct answer, not merely to memorize it, and I will treat every incorrect answer as an opportunity to learn.

3.2 Honor the Foundations. I will respect the foundational sciences and mathematics (anatomy, physiology, chemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, physics, dosage calculation, and statistics) as essential to safe practice. I understand that a decimal point, a unit of measure, or a missed physiological sign can change a patient’s life.

3.3 Practice Academic Integrity. I will do my own work. I will be honest about what I know and what I do not yet know. I will follow the MyoMed Prep Academic Integrity Policy and the integrity standards of my school, program, and licensing or certifying body.

3.4 Protect Exam Security. I will never seek out, share, sell, or use actual or “recalled” questions from any licensure or certification examination, including examinations administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or any other testing body. I understand that exam security protects the public by ensuring that every licensed clinician has truly earned their credential.

3.5 Respect the Work of Others. I will use MyoMed Prep question banks, explanations, imaging content, and other materials for my own personal learning. I will not copy, record, screenshot for distribution, post, share my account, or otherwise distribute MyoMed Prep content, because I respect the clinicians and educators who created it and the Terms of Service that protect it.

3.6 Use Technology and AI Responsibly. I will use study tools, including artificial intelligence tools, to deepen my understanding and not to replace it. I will verify clinical information against current, authoritative sources and will follow the Academic Integrity Policy and my program’s rules on technology use.

3.7 Commit to Lifelong Learning. I will remember that passing my examination is a beginning, not an end. I will pursue evidence-based practice, stay current as standards of care change, and remain humble enough to keep learning throughout my career.

4. Commitment to Clinical Excellence at the Bedside

4.1 Safety First, Always. I will place patient safety at the center of every decision. I will check, double-check, and ask when I am unsure. I will speak up when I see a risk to a patient, and I will welcome others who speak up to me.

4.2 Practice Within My Scope. I will practice only within the scope of my current education, license, certification, and role. As a student, I will work under the supervision of my instructors, preceptors, and clinical faculty, and I will follow the policies of my program and every clinical facility where I train or work.

4.3 Educational Content Is Not a Substitute for Clinical Judgment. I understand that MyoMed Prep is an educational resource. It does not provide medical advice and does not replace clinical judgment, facility policies and protocols, medical direction, manufacturer instructions, or the orders of a licensed provider. In real patient care, I will follow those authorities, consistent with the MyoMed Prep Educational and Medical Disclaimer.

4.4 Technical Precision. I will perform every skill, assessment, procedure, image acquisition, and intervention with care and precision, whether it is my first time or my thousandth. I will document truthfully, accurately, and on time.

4.5 Respect for the Interprofessional Team. I will treat every member of the healthcare team, including nurses, technologists, paramedics, EMTs, physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, environmental services staff, and support personnel, with respect. I will communicate clearly, listen carefully, and remember that excellent care is a team effort.

4.6 Accountability for Mistakes. If I make an error, I will report it honestly and promptly through the proper channels, learn from it, and help make the system safer for the next patient.

5. Commitment to Compassion, Dignity, and Advocacy

5.1 See the Person, Not Only the Patient. I will look beyond the chart, the vital signs, the image, and the diagnosis to the human being in front of me. I will remember that every patient has a story, fears, hopes, and people who love them.

5.2 Empathy and Kindness. I will offer patience, warmth, and reassurance, especially when a patient or family member is frightened, in pain, grieving, or difficult to care for. I will remember that kindness costs nothing and can change everything.

5.3 Dignity and Equity for All. I will treat every person with equal dignity and respect regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, socioeconomic status, insurance status, immigration status, or any other characteristic. I will work to recognize and set aside my own biases.

5.4 Cultural Humility. I will respect the beliefs, values, and traditions of the patients and families I serve. I will ask rather than assume, and I will use qualified interpreters and accessible communication when needed.

5.5 Partnership with Families. I will welcome families and caregivers as partners in care, keep them informed within the limits of the patient’s wishes and privacy, and treat them with the same compassion I offer the patient.

5.6 Steadfast Patient Advocacy. I will advocate for my patients’ safety, comfort, rights, and wishes, including their right to be informed and to make their own decisions about their care. I will raise concerns through the proper channels when something is not right.

5.7 Dignity at the End of Life. I will care for patients at the end of life, and for their families, with gentleness, honesty, and reverence, honoring the patient’s values and documented wishes.

6. Commitment to Privacy and Trust

6.1 Protect Patient Information. I will guard every patient’s privacy and confidentiality as a sacred trust, following all applicable privacy laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the policies of my program and every facility where I train or work.

6.2 Never Share Patient Information on the Platform or Social Media. I will never post, upload, or share any patient’s name, image, medical record, identifying details, or story on MyoMed Prep, in study groups, or on social media, even if I believe the information has been de-identified.

6.3 Respect My Peers’ Privacy. I will respect the privacy of my fellow Students and will not share their personal information, scores, or study materials without their permission.

7. Commitment to Our Community of Learners

7.1 Lift Each Other Up. I will treat my fellow Students, instructors, contributors, clinical reviewers, and MyoMed Prep staff with kindness and respect. I will celebrate the successes of others and support those who are struggling.

7.2 Communicate with Respect. In any discussion, review, feedback, or communication, I will be constructive, professional, and courteous. I will not harass, bully, demean, or discriminate against anyone.

7.3 Help Improve the Content. If I believe a question, explanation, or image contains an error or is out of date, I will report it through MyoMed Prep’s support channels so that our community, and ultimately our patients, benefit from accurate and current content.

8. Commitment to Selfless Service and Community

8.1 Serve with Humility. I will remember that my knowledge and skills exist to serve others. I will approach my profession as a calling to serve my patients, my community, and the public good.

8.2 Represent My Profession with Honor. In clinical settings, in my community, and online, I will conduct myself in a way that brings honor to my profession, my program, and the MyoMed Prep community.

8.3 Give Back. As I grow, I will look for ways to mentor future students, share what I have learned, and contribute to the health of the communities I serve.

9. Commitment to Personal Wellbeing and Resilience

9.1 Care for the Caregiver. I will remember that I cannot pour from an empty cup. I will make time for rest, healthy habits, relationships, and the things that restore me, so that I can offer my best to my patients.

9.2 Ask for Help. I will seek support when I am overwhelmed, whether from my instructors, program, peers, family, or a qualified professional. Asking for help is a sign of strength and professional maturity.

9.3 Crisis Support. If I or someone I know is in crisis or thinking about self-harm, I will call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the United States) or call 911 in an emergency. I understand that MyoMed Prep is an educational platform and does not provide crisis, counseling, or medical services.

10. MyoMed Prep’s Commitment to You

In the same spirit of this Pledge, and without creating any legal obligation beyond those stated in our Platform Policies, MyoMed Prep strives to:

  1. build and maintain educational content developed and reviewed by licensed clinicians and educators, with the goal of reflecting current standards of care;
  2. treat every Student with respect, dignity, and fairness;
  3. foster a learning community that is welcoming, inclusive, and free from harassment;
  4. listen to Student feedback and correct content errors when they are identified;
  5. protect your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy; and
  6. work toward making our platform accessible to all learners, as described in our Accessibility Statement.

11. The MyoMed Prep Covenant of Academic & Clinical Excellence
